Abstract,
Lake Bunyonyi in kigezi region turned its color to brown but as environmental engineers we would like to establish some of the would be causes and how the root cause can b reached

Introduction
There can only be 3 ways through which the lake can choose to revock color especially the lava damned lakes. This may not be new to such lakes .The aspects
1) it can occur due to pollution
2) Desire to purify itself through chemical reactions.
3)Reaction with mineral Deposits in presence of a catalyst.

In the above case we cannot say lake Bunyonyi color is due to the above 2 cases as prior mentioned by Ministry of water in point that is pollution and purification because pollution cannot cover the entire lake in a short time and purification seemingly occurs but with to correspondence to a time factor ..T,t-1.which means the above 2 cannot be ideal reasons for the brown color on the lake living us with one alternative
Reaction with mineral deposits in presence of an external factor or catalyst say underground force or earthcrust Reaction. This explains why all the species, fish, and other harbourers have no life.

The vigorous Reaction could have been cold by the extremely cold waters on the Bunyonyi giving cool space for the precipitation of the yellow forming on the waters of the lake i.e This is how we deform to this reaction
Reaction with mineral deposits in presence of an external factor.
75% we suspect that this might be the cause of the water change.we ought that there has been an engaging dimension that the people around didn't know for some time.possibiligies are available that ,because lake Bunyonyi is lava damed lake there mineral or rock deposits underground that contain different elements forexample sodium potassium, calcium and other elements like iron that could have reacted due to an external force underground.

Reaction
Mineral/deposit elements +water..in presence of an external factor                        complex water + hybrids.call it brown water
Let mineral/deposit elements be =Md
Water=H20
External factor i.e vulcanicity, coldness,or chemical reaction ef
CH20h will be the brown water.
The overall equation =Md+H2O. ...ef. ...... CH20h +md....complex
This explains why the fish and other animals around have died.
This is a clear reason actually that might be true that lake Bunyonyi exhibits mineral deposits yet to be discovered

Other minor causes could be

Biological Processes
Microbial Decomposition:
Microorganisms in the water break down organic matter and convert harmful nitrogen compounds like ammonium into less toxic forms.
Plant Assimilation:
Aquatic plants, especially in wetlands, absorb excess nutrients from the water, preventing algal blooms and improving water quality.
Physical Processes
Sedimentation:
As water slows down in a lake, suspended particles, sediments, and pollutants settle to the lakebed.
Aeration:
Wind, waves, and waterfalls increase the water's exposure to the air, which increases dissolved oxygen levels. This oxygen supports the aerobic decomposition of organic matter.
Ecosystem Functions
Wetlands and Riparian Zones:
These areas act as natural filters, trapping sediments, absorbing nutrients, and removing many water contaminants from runoff before it enters the lake.
