This is one of my favourite records. Swinging hard bop that is in the groove from start to finish. Very well recorded live music that gets you into the Paris club in the 1960s. Nathan Davis had a warm sound, delivered with majestic confidence. His colleagues present superb musicianship. No gimmicks. Just great Jazz. Great sound.
