Bunyonyi Fights Back
Crystal waters of yore
We took for granted before
Dirty brown and more
Funeral dirges we bore.
Our lake reduced to pity
Her beauty turned so dirty
As though ’twas from the city
Threw many into a snitty.
She now has fought with vigour
Her waters back to lure
All those who need the cure
By her magnetic allure.
Shall we just watch a dance
Allow her to live by chance
As though we take no stance
On fate of our cultural manse?
Bunyonyi fought back and won
Her battle but far from done
We stand with her as one
Our lake as bright as Sun.
