Kenny Dorham – trumpet master

Born August 30, 1924 in Fairfield, Texas

Died December 5, 1972 in New York, New York

One of the great trumpet masters and composers of Bebop/Hard Bop. His recordings on the Blue Note label stand shoulder to shoulder with those of better celebrated trumpet players like Lee Morgan, Freddie Hubbard and Miles Davis.
